Microsoft made the happy announcement on its own Xbox Wire blog. 2019 was Xbox’s final appearance at the yearly gathering in Cologne. Microsoft also announced the revival of the Xbox FanFest along with the return to Gamescom. Microsoft announced on Wednesday that Xbox will have a booth at Gamescom 2022 in Hall 8 where attendees of the event can play a variety of first and third-party games, including Pentiment from Obsdian Entertainment and A Plague Tale: Requiem from Asobo Studios, among others. -Microsoft Xbox is also preparing a day of live streaming on August 25 from 8:00 a.m. ET to 2:00 p.m. ET for anyone unable to attend the event in person. Similar to the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase earlier in the year, the streams will be centered on games coming out in the following 12 months. Updates on games like Pentiment, High on Life, Lies of Pi, Minecraft Legends, the complete launch of Grounded, and more will be provided through developer interviews and gameplay videos, which players can look forward to. Recall that Microsoft is the lone platform holder and one of the few firms attending Gamescom this year. The huge in-person return of the show will not feature Activision Blizzard, Take-Two, or Sony.
